A strong windstorm that swept across south Kashmir on Saturday morning damaged several structures in Verinag area of Anantnag district, officials said.

An official said that strong winds damaged a rooftop of a house and shops in Nowgam village today morning.

Sign boards of over dozen of shops were also swept away, while no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.
