A soldier allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle at a camp in Samba district of Jammu official sources said on Friday.

They said that Army Jawan posted in Samba 168 Brigade shot himself dead with his service rifle.

They said that his body has been shifted to DH Samba for autopsy, while police have taken cognisance of the matter.
