In a first of its kind, WHS Sports Hub, in collaboration with the Wondrous Women community, organized a remarkable fitness boot camp exclusively for girls of Jammu and Kashmir.
With the aim of motivating and encouraging young women to embrace sports and prioritize fitness for a vibrant and active lifestyle, the initiative saw enthusiastic participation from girls of all ages.
“The boot camp kicked off with a thrilling football and cricket match, where girls teamed up with the inspiring members of Wondrous Women. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy as the participants showcased their skills, fostering camaraderie and healthy competition,” said Viraj Singh, Director Wood Land School.
“Following the sporting activities, a comprehensive fitness session was conducted, complete with exhilarating challenges tailored to enhance strength and endurance,” he added.
Notably, present at the event was Anissa Nabi, a distinguished JKAS representative and a passionate advocate for fitness as an integral part of life. As a Fit India Ambassador, Nabi actively engaged with the girls, playing alongside them and sharing her experiences.
Further, “this initiative was a commendable social effort by WHS Sports Hub and the Wondrous Women community, both driven by the belief that bringing about positive change in society is only possible when our youth wholeheartedly embraces sports and rejects the temptations of substance abuse,” said Viraj.
