An ex-army man on Tuesday shot wife and then himself in Thakrie area of Kishtwar following which both were hospitalized.

A senior police officer told Kashmir Scroll that on Tuesday evening one person namely Gulam Husain son of Fakir Mohd resident of Anjhol Gwari  Thakrie Kishtwar whi is an Ex Army man shot his wife namely Rabina Begum with 12 bore rifle and later he also attempted suicide and shot himself as well.

He said that both received injuries and have been shifted to district hospital Kishtwar injured condition for treatment.

Meanwhile police party has rushed to the spot and investigation has been started.
