A military operation against militants has started in Wathoo Shirmal area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.

Police officials said that the military operation began after a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Wathoo Shirmal.

A senior police officer also confirmed exchange of firing between militants and armed forces.
