Twin encounters broke between government forces and militants in Lolab area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara and DH Pora of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, today on Sunday.

Amid heavy exchange of fire two militants have been killed in Lolab encounter. Some more are trapped in the hideout. Kashmir Zone Police informed that all belong to Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit.

Meanwhile, one militant has been killed in Kulgam encounter. The identity of slain was not known immediately. Further details shall follow.
