Jammu and Kashmir administration stressed on officials to prepare a better plan for traffic management within a period of 15 days.

Chief Secretary, Arun Kumar Mehta, conducted a high level meeting to deliberate over traffic management. Moreover, officers were asked to ensure there is no parking on roads and parking lots are identified in busy areas.

The focus of meeting was to conduct scientific study on traffic management and to ensure use of dividers and barricades.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Home; Principal Secretary, PWD; Commissioner Secretary, Transport Department; Transport Commissioner; IG Traffic; DIG Traffic, SSP Traffic Kashmir, SSP Traffic Jammu besides other concerned officers from police and civil administration.
