Police on Sunday stated that they found a semi-decomposed human body in the forest area of Shangus in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

According to an official, Police Station Uttersoo received information about the body of a person in the hilly and dense forest of Brariangan in Shangus area and a team of police officers and locals led by SHO Uttersoo arrived at the scene late at night and recovered the body.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Bokad, son of Mohamad Sadiq and a resident of Sarsar Jammu. The cause of his death is being ascertained.
