Today morning on Thursday, in Malwah Pariswani area of district Baramulla, officials say Mohammad Yousuf Kantroo, the longest surviving commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba has been killed in an encounter with security forces.

Kantroo, a resident of Budgam, was active in militancy since 2000. According to Police, four army soldiers and one constable have also been injured. Budgam Police and Indian army are conducting the ongoing operation.
