China’s Artificial Sun Sustains Longest Nuclear Fusion

Srinagar, 11 Jan: In a latest experiment, China’s Artificial Sun project has sustained a nuclear fusion reaction for 17 minutes. The superheated plasma reached 126 million degrees Fahrenheit. While the conventional sources of energy are under threat due to over consumption, this could turn as to an effective and clean alternative to conventional sources.

China’s Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST), artificial Sun, is roughly five times hotter than the real Sun, radiating 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit at the surface and about 27 million degrees Fahrenheit and was designed to be used as limitless supply of clean energy.
