Srinagar, Jan 21: In a statement on Friday, the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police informed that one way vehicular movement from Srinagar to Jammu will be allowed on the National Highway. Private cars and light motor vehicles with passengers will be allowed to travel tomorrow.

An official informed that if the weather and road conditions remain good, heavy motor vehicles will soon be allowed to travel from NAVYUG Tunnel (Qazigund side) towards Jammu. However, Mughal Road, Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road and Kishtwar-Sinthan road will remain closed for vehicular movement due to snow accumulation.

Security forces have been requested not to ply against the advisory or traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on the highway.

Traffic department has also advised the commuters to travel on the National Highway only after confirming the status of the road from the concerned authority
