Body of an elderly man was recovered from Nigeen Lake near Pokhribal area of Srinagar on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
An official said that the body was spotted by some locals, who later informed the police. He said that a rescue team along with police rushed to the spot and retrieved the body.
He has been identified as Nisar Ahmad Qureshi (54) son of Mohamad Yousf Qureshi of Batmaloo. Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident.
