A militant associate was on Tuesday arrested with AK-47 and other ammunition in Keegam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Scroll the police said that arrested a militant associate of proscribed terror outfit LeT in Shopian and recovered incriminating materials, arms & ammunition from his possession.
Based on specific input regarding the presence of militants in Daramdora Keegam Shopian, a joint team of police alongwith Army (44RR) and CRPF (14Bn) launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the said area. During search, one militants associate linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT was arrested. He has been identified as Tanveer Ahmad Wani son of Bashir Ahmad Wani resident of Daramdora Shopian
