Kishtwar Police booked a netizen for posting inappropriate comments on social media platforms. In response to a complaint filed by journalist name withheld, Kishtwar Police took decisive action against an individual accused of posting derogatory comments on social media.
A senior police officer said that acting promptly under the direction of SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS, an FIR No. 17/2024 has been registered at PS Kishtwar, invoking relevant sections of the law.
The Cyber Cell was immediately tasked with tracing the perpetrator, resulting in a successful raid conducted by Insp. Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO PS Kishtwar, and his team.
The accused has been identified as Sunil Kumar, resident of Cherji area, Dool Kishtwar, was apprehended.
