A recent incident in Rajouri district has resulted in an Army officer sustaining injuries in what appears to be a grenade accident.
Army officer said that the incident occurred at a post in the Rajouri sector and the injured officer was promptly evacuated for medical attention. After receiving initial treatment, officer’s condition has stabilised and is currently deemed stable.
The army has initiated investigations into the incident to ascertain the factors that led to this unfortunate accident.
