Another militant was killed in an encounter broke out between security forces in Binner area of Baramulla district late on Saturday evening.
A senior police officer told news agency—Kashmir News observer (KNO) that the gunfight broke out after forces launched a search operation in the area.
Slain militant was identified as Irshad Ahmad Bhat of Pattan Baramulla, linked with militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Earlier on Saturday, a newly recruited Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militant was killed in a gunfight in Wanigam Bala area of Baramulla district.
