Eidgah is home to players like Ghulam Ahmad Kisha, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Ghulam Ahmad Baba and many others who went played highest levels of Indian football in 90’s.
But from past 10 years Shehr-i-Khaaas has not produced quality players, mostly due to non availability of ground.
Despite promises from Jammu Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) to revive football in Shehr-i-Khass, no action were taken.
Old city fc, Rafallo fc and Regal fc which have been operating from past 30 years have now decided not to beg for facilities anymore and are looking for sponsors by their own.
