US president, Joe Biden, today signed the country first serious bill on gun safety in a period of 10 years .
On Saturday 25 June, before signing the bill in to law, he said I was present when the previous gun legislation was passed three decades ago and stressed the importance of the legislation.
This bill doesn’t do everything I want but include, I have long called for that ” saves lives, ” biden said .
The gun legislation include intensity background check for younger buyers and federal cash for states Introducing ” red flag ” law that allows courts for a limited period of time remove weapons from those considered a threat.

Reeling off a list of well known mass shootings, Biden said the message from victims “do something, for god’s sake just do something, well today we did.”
Biden said the new law, which had rare strong support from both Republicans and Democrats, “was monumental.”
As he inked his signature on the document, Biden added again: “God willing, this is going to save a lot of lives.”
