Defense Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Srinagar on Thursday to begin his two day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
He was received by senior army officers at the Srinagar International Airport.
The Defense Minister will travel to various forward areas to assess the preparedness of the Indian armed forces. He will be briefed by senior field commanders on the situation in the hinterland and along the borders.
He will also attend the 200th anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh’s “Rajyabhishek” ceremony in Jammu on Friday.
