26k New Posts Identified, 21 New Hydro Power Projects, Setting Up Of AIMMS In Line In J&K: MHA

In a parliament session on Tuesday, Ministry of Home Affairs mentioned various developments in JK including identification of more than 26 thousand posts, 21 new hydro power projects, setting up AIIMs in both divisions, starting of international flights at Srinagar airport and more.

Other works include acceleration of pending projects and implementation of New Central Sector Schemes providing employment to over 4.5 lakh people, boosting industrial development.

The UT of Jammu and Kashmir has been declared Open Defecation Free (ODF) under Swachh Bharat Mission.

Under Gram Sadak Yojna, 14,500 km of roads have been constructed so far. New business revival package of over 13 hundred crore was approved in September, 2020.

The scope of High Density Plantation Scheme has been expanded. Moreover, Kashmiri Saffron has been given the Geographical Indication (GI) tag.

All this information was provided in a written reply to a question in Parliament about all-round development in J&K.
