Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, in a session at state assembly called Anupam Kher starrer film “The Kashmir Files” a conspiracy.
The Chief Minister called the movie “all planned and mostly fiction” but didn’t name it directly. She said ahead of religious festivals meetings are being held to cause trouble in Bengal.
Mamata said “You can watch the movie, but cannot react to it. The movies are based on fiction.” This came as a respond to the allegations about law and order situation in Bengal.
Notably, on Tuesday after assembly session, all BJP MLAs led by Suvendu Adhikari had boarded a bus and watched the movie together.
In many states like Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Goa the movie has been declared tax-free. Moreover, the Prime Minister has also hailed the movie saying “Truth suppressed for long is coming out.”
Genocide calls were made at cinema halls against Kashmiris and Muslims. At many places audience vowed to boycott movies of Muslim bollywood celebrities.
